  • the available rehabilitation expertise primarily relates to neurological conditions.

Making a referral

Oxford Centre for Enablement (OCE) offers specialist neurological rehabilitation through a range of outpatient assessment and treatment options, including:

Our outpatient service is suitable for people with a variety of different needs, including those with:

  • recent onset new disability
  • recent marked change in the context of more slowly progressive disability
  • fluctuating and/or progressive disability where there is a need for more regular review particularly in relation to:
    • changing needs for care,
    • changing needs in relation to equipment
    • concerns about safety and vulnerability
    • significant distress associated with a neurological condition.

  • Diagnosis
  • Reason for referral
  • Previous medical history
  • Current medication
  • Major social factors
  • Purpose and expectations from referral
