Help the NHS reduce medicines waste

The local NHS is running a campaign urging patients to make simple changes to help reduce medicines waste - which is estimated to cost the NHS nationally around £300m each year.
The campaign by will include regular messages for the public and patients around keeping medicines stored safely and how to dispose of unused medicines properly.
They will be encouraging you to check how much prescription medication you have at home before ordering more, and check the expiry date on your medicines.
You can also get advice from your GP or pharmacist about prescription medicines.
From September 2025, local people can join a local Digital Café for free, informal, one to one support with basic digital skills, along with access to digital devices and the internet, including advice on using the to order prescription medication.
